But yeah, the post-mortem is the post launch observations and conclusions regardless of failure or success or if the game is still alive or not. It basically looks at the positive and negative, what worked and what didn't during the project.

Thanks for the interesting read. You know what might keep on theme and work would be like a Zelda 1 map. One more than a dot on a black rectangle, but im sure you can imagine something like that. Maybe more so the drop down map from ocarina.. Something static that isnt too intrusive, but even kind of immersive. Old school runescape also has/had a map that is stagnant in its own little dragon compass and it was a nice cozy touch. I'm really excited for another game like this. The little moments and puzzles really drove the want to explore the next screen, so I think that its ok if a puzzle in the future is "super easy" because then you get the excited drive to discover another interaction puzzle right away.
